Want to know the greatest attractions of the “Cidade Maravilhosa,” as Rio de Janeiro is also known?

Rio de Janeiro, declared a world heritage site by UNESCO, truly earns its reputation as a Marvelous City. It boasts a highly varied geography: beaches, mountains and lakes coexist in a dazzling, world-renowned landscape. Among its kilometers of coastal beaches, the famous Copacabana and Ipanema stand out.

The Craft Jewelry Collection | Getaway to Rio de Janeiro, the Maravelous City

We begin our photo shoot in the Barra de Tijuca neighborhood, one located far from the center of the city and nicknamed “Brazilian Miami” because of its many buildings and business centers. We choose a white linen dress with thin straps for the model, which we combine with the Victoria Necklace and Trepadora Earrings from our Natura collection. Our pieces, inspired by nature and Mother Earth, put the finishing touches on this tropical vision. The model’s beautiful bronzed skin perfectly complements our 100% handmade, artisanal jewelry.

Next, we cross the city to visit the Selarón Staircase, an architectural work finished with mosaics, mirrors and cheerful azulejo tiles. The staircase features the colors of the Brazilian flag (blue, green and yellow) and is located between the Santa Teresa and Lapa neighborhoods. The decoration is the work of Chilean artist Jorge Selarón, painter and ceramicist, who designed this mosaic as a tribute to the people of Brazil. This unmistakable setting is ideal for another photoshoot, where our Love collection takes center stage, creating a powerful urban aesthetic.

Afterwards, we take some time to get to know the Museum of Tomorrow, designed by a Spanish Architect with a highly international portfolio: Santiago Calatrava. It is a neo-futurist museum where visitors can travel through the cosmos and experience living in a sustainable city.
We are still eager to visit one of the city’s two most impressive viewpoints; either Christ the Redeemer at the top of Corcovado hill or the Pão de Açucar viewpoint, accessible by cable car. Unfortunately, we don’t have time for it all… both very different views, but equally stunning!

Next time we’ll make it!

In the late afternoon we go to catch the sunset from the best place in the city: El Arpoador, a beach in the Ipanema neighborhood. It is an absolutely magical place, and we take advantage of the moment to capture some final photos in the gorgeous natural light.

The model wears a dress designed by FARM, a brand with a 100% Brazilian seal, accompanied by our iconic Argolla Double Hoop earrings. Our Hoop collection revives an ancient symbol and its legacy of power and wealth.

Night arrives, along with a well-deserved rest after a marathon day of photographs. We celebrate the success of our Brazilian photoshoot with a Caipirinha and listening to our Spotify playlist, naturally!

For our final photos we choose the Eva Luna earrings, inspired by the fascination and feminine power of the moon.

We finish the day and our whirlwind visit with a lot of gratitude and love for this tropical city.

Obrigada Rio!
